Welcome to Makuzo, where every candle embodies the essence of life—compassion, creativity, reliability, generosity, loyalty, and the love for home. Makuzo symbolizes all these virtues and more. Each woodwick candle is meticulously hand-poured in small batches, infused with the finest quality essential oils. Every candle is crafted right here in New Braunfels, Texas.

My journey into candle-making began as a quest to rediscover happiness. Trapped in a mundane 9 to 5 job, I found myself questioning if this was all there was to life. Deep within, I knew there had to be something more fulfilling beyond the daily grind. So, like many others during the pandemic, I took the opportunity to pause, reflect, and pursue my passion. I joined the wave of individuals who left their desk jobs to follow their dreams. And thus, Makuzo was born, launching on Etsy as a testament to reclaiming joy through creation.

CANDLE CARE

  • Trim: Cut wick to 1/4" before each burn.
  • Burn: Allow the wax pool to reach the edges of the jar to prevent tunneling.
  • Limit: Burn for no more than 4 hours at a time.
  • Stop: Do not burn when less than 1/2" of wax remains.
  • Safety: Keep away from children and pets. Never leave unattended.
